A closer look at the 400 S2.
This Lagoon 400 S2 was built in 2018 and is a GRP sailing catamaran of 11.97 m length, with a 7.25 m beam and a shallow 1.20 m draft. She is powered by two 45 hp four-cylinder Yanmar engines on sail drives with three-blade propellers, giving a cruising speed of 7 knots, a maximum of 9 knots and a stated range of 500 nautical miles. Tankage comprises 400 litres of fuel in two tanks, 600 litres of fresh water and four 150-litre holding tanks.
The accommodation sleeps eight guests in four double cabins, each served by an electric WC and shower, with two additional crew cabins fitted with single berths. The galley has a refrigerator, deep freezer and oven, with hot water throughout.
The sail plan consists of a fully battened mainsail and a furling genoa, handled with an electric winch, lazy bag and lazy jacks. Navigation equipment includes autopilot, chartplotter, GPS, VHF/DSC, depth sounder, log and wind instruments with repeaters. On deck she has davits with tender, a liferaft, gangway, swimming ladder, cockpit shower and table, bimini, sprayhood and cockpit cover. Shore power and an inverter are fitted.
